Caroline McKay wants
to run circles around Mull
Join her and
to raise money for local marine and wildlife
conservation.
Caroline McKay is originally from the Ross
of Mull, but now lives in Edinburgh
The concept/plan is to run the entire coastline of Mull as far
as the road allows over 3 days of Easter weekend 2012 from 6-9th
April. I've mapped the route as a total of 127 miles (more
details on route specifics are on the home page of the website).
I'm incorporating a detour inland to run up Ben More for added
challenge as I'm keen that the run is as much of a test as
possible. At the moment I have a few friends who'll be running
and cycling with me part of the way, with Don supporting me in a
camper van or RV.
Although I've decided not to go down the route of making it a
public event, I'm keen for any other Mull runners or cyclists to
come and join in if for part or all of the route if they wish.
I'm sure it will be lots of fun!
The most important aim of the run is to raise money for local
marine and wildlife conservation to help protect Mull's
incredible marine wildlife and seas as they face growing
challenges and I am now seeking donations, however small, from
businesses/individuals to help me raise as much as I can. All
funds raised will be directed to two local charities, Hebridean
Whale and Dolphin Trust and RSPB Scotland, and the link to
donate is on the website and below. The run is inspired by and
in memory of my mother Alice Lambert, who was so passionate
about these causes.

I am also seeking minor sponsorship from a local business
towards the cost of camper hire for 5 days, and would be able to
mention them in all press coverage as well as on my website and
signage on the support vehicle, to help promote their business
in return.
The website should give more info if you need it, plus all my
contact details. www.runaroundmull.co.uk
