Fantastic turnout for this Sunday for Mull’s Annual 5k Pink Run for Cancer Research UK, totalling 56, and 6 dogs. A great selection of pink attire from both boys and girls, including pink nail varnish, pink hair, and various pink outfits, socks, tee shirts and matching trainers, and even dogs in pink! Well done for your all your efforts, there will be a prize for the best outfit next year!
First over the line was John Coyle (18:35 mins), finally beating Kieran Whyte (18:54 mins) to the finish after 5 years of trying! 1st lady was Jacqui Ballinger (23:28), on her honeymoon on Mull and a regular Cancer Research runner; 1st Boy was Ewan Gawthrope (23:51); 1st Girl was Ellen MacRae (26:10); 1st mother and buggy was Iona, Kirsten and Cameron and 1st dog was Bramble.
Thanks to all the helpers, including Richard and Fiona on 1st Aid, Police, Salen Hotel, Gus, Babs, Lynne, Maggie and Shona. And of course, huge thank you to you all for supporting Cancer Research today! A grand total of £475.95 was raised.
Next year’s event will be on Sunday 18th June 2017.
